Objection 1. It seems God does not exist. The word God itself means the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority. Thus, If God does exist, why does a God who is identified as a loving, caretaker of his worshipers allow such devastations or natural disasters that no conscious being have an impact on, for instance, earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, tsunamis, mudslides and wildfires to occur? In addition, it is apparent from various scripture one of which is the book of Genesis that God does have control over natural laws, â€Å"God created the whole universe and the laws of nature† Objection 2. In the 1700s, America was striving off of crops. The king of all crops was cotton. With cotton demands increased, so did the need for enslaved Africans to pick the cotton. The southern states of America were happy with cotton being king and wanted to expand north to increase cotton production. The northern states did not agree with the idea of having land used for cotton, or having Africans in the north. Northerners argued for America to transition from an agricultural economy to an industrial economy. The South did not agree, and fought the north for control over new territory. Question: Describe about The Halpern Critical Thinking Assessment. Answer: Part A-Critical Thinking I would define critical thinking as an ability to think rationally and clearly in order to understand logical connection that is in various ideas. In the process of thinking critically, an individual has to engage in independent and reflective thinking. Unlike in other forms of normal thinking, a person who engages in critical thinking keeps revisiting the information or ideas on which they are acting on in order to establish the logic behind them. Anastasi (2013) argues that Critical thinking is an art for making analysis as well as evaluations in order to improve on it. I agree with the author because one has to analyze and evaluate while in the process. Critical thinking is important in every part of an individuals life. While doing studies, there is a lot of information that an individual comes across. However, in order for that information to be of importance, one has to study while rigorously questioning the assumptions and ideas within the texts rather than accepting them blindly. I do not have ICT work experience but in the organization I worked for in the past, I realized that one is not fed with every detail of their job positions. There are situations that require one to critically think before making decisions. I need to be a critical thinker to be well prepared while making decisions in the job environment. Part B- ICT professionals Information communication Technology (ICT) is now the center of life. Everything currently requires ICT professionals to be involved. Examples of fields that define life and are actively using ICT include education/learning, business, entertainment, social life and many different events. Such sections involve large numbers of individuals and if anything goes wrong, many people are affected. ICT professionals in all these spheres are supposed to be critical thinkers so that they are able to make quick decisions that are right. The field of ICT is evolving rapidly and individuals involved are supposed to be in tandem with new changes. Rapid changes involve making decisions that are sometimes risky. As ICT professionals adapt to the rapidly changing ICT environments, they should do so with a lot of care and be quick. Critical thinking enables an individual to understand the logic connections between ideas. ICT professionals should be critical thinkers so that they are able to make quick connections between ideas. This enables them to even predict anything that would evolve next. Critical thinking involves identifying, connecting and evaluating arguments. Once an individual learns to identify, connect and evaluate arguments, they are bound to make the right conclusions. ICT involves a lot of data analysis. It is therefore important for ICT professionals to be critical thinkers so that they are able to make data analysis in the correct manner. Critical thinking skills equip the professionals with the ability to understand the information that people require. For example, data analysis based on critical thinking would be enable investors acquire demographic information that they may require for various reasons such as the size of youths within the market. Week 5 SWOT Analysis Strengths 1. While making presentations, I am good at maintain eye contacts. Since I was a child, I was trained to always maintain eye contacts when speaking to a person. The skill of maintaining eye contact with the audience enables me understand whether the audience captures what my presentation. 2. Confidence is also a skill that I always have once I finish introductions. Threats 1. Lack of enough experience in presentations would be a threat to my professional presentations. 2. The type of information in relation to the type of audience would also be a threat to my presentation. For instance, my presentation may be too complex for the audience or too basic. Weaknesses 1. One of my major weaknesses is continually looking at my watch or a clock if there is one in the room. Sometimes this destructs me and may lead to errors when presenting or cause me to leave some content. 2. Stage freight is also a weakness that appears immediately I stand before a crowd. This affects the initial part of presentation which is usually the introduction. However, it ends within minutes and I regain the confidence I require for presentation. Opportunities 1. My opportunities in presentation lie in my ability to make good summaries and notes. While making presentations with tools such as slides, I would come up with a few that have all the information I need. 2. In addition, the ICT profession may allow for interaction during presentation. This would turn the platform into a type of discussion/debate that I am good at. Strategies to address the Weaknesses Most presentations are usually timed. Sometimes an individual is not supposed to use more time than the necessary. I have gotten used to the idea of looking at my watch or wall clock during presentations. However, there are strategies that can overcome this weakness. First would be to ensure that I do not have a watch on my wrist during presentations. This is one way of avoiding such destructions. In case I am not supposed to go past certain durations, I would ensure that there is an individual behind the audience who would signal me a few minutes to the end of my presentation. The other strategy to overcome the weakness would be to keep the audience involved. If I would manage to keep the audience active, I would be destructed from looking at my watch since I would be forced to look at them. I think this can happen best if I ask them questions and appoint some of them to present their views. Week 7- Reflective writing I am among individuals who love social networking through technology. Some of the social networking sites that I use include Facebook, tweeter, LinkedIn and Instagram. Facebook was the first social site that I joined before joining the others and I have actively used it for several years now. I had a habit of logging in to Facebook whenever I got a chance to, that is, so long as there was a computer or a phone with internet around, I would log in, do a few things and then leave it. Some years ago, I logged in a different device and found out that someone had got into my account and changed my name to Priest Daily Christian. It was difficult to change the name again immediately. I thought about the situation and realized that I was the cause of everything that had happened. Every time I logged in using devices that were not mine, I never logged out. I just closed the browser and left. Sometimes while logging in, the browser would request to remember my password and I would grant that permission without realizing what I was doing. I tried to change the name but I found out that according to Facebook policies, one cannot change the name again until a period of sixty days elapses (Facebook, 2016). I was lucky that my username and password had not been changed. I changed the password that I was using at that time and started the long wait of sixty days to expire. From that experience, I learned to always log out of every site I used and to avoid leaving usernames and their passwords in devices I used. Whoever changed my profile name had ether opened the browser and Facebook site in the device I had used or he/she went through the saved usernames and passwords to commit the act. In future, I would handle such a situation by changing my password and remaining silent until I change the profile name. My activeness with that name was one thing that made most of my friends to realize that I used a different name. Even though the experience negatively affected my Facebook status, the positive thing about it is that it taught me a great lesson. Later most of my Facebook friends would tease me and inquire why I was using such a name and I had to tell them that someone hacked into my account. Week 11- Personal Ethical Framework ICT professional A good ICT professional is one who upholds and advances the dignity, honor as well as the effectiveness of being an ICT professional in accordance to the Australian Computer Society (ACS) code of ethics. The professional must act within the law and always be a good citizen. According to Australian Computer Society (2014), a good ICT professional should be an ACS member who adheres to certain values of the society. The professional safeguards the interests of the public before their personal and private interests. The individual must be an observer of utmost integrity and honesty in all their professional activities and decisions and they should be aware of their limitations so that they always accept the works that they are competent in. in addition, good ICT professionals are those that keep themselves informed of new practices, technologies as well as standards that are relevant to their ICT work. Work ethic and values Work Ethic Statement I believe in doing what I am competent in. When one engages in works that they are not competent in, they breach their personal honesty and endanger the lives of the public by putting their health and environment and risk of damage. Personal development is an important ethic, I will always take the necessary measures to remain informed of new practices, technologies and standards in order to be competent in my work. I will also recognize the role that ICT plays in peoples lives so as to enhance their lives quality. Important Values Honesty is one of my important values. I always believe that when I am honest to myself and to the larger public, I am able to act within the law and remain a good citizen. Acting within honesty would make the public and my other stakeholders trust me with my ICT profession and would also enable me to avoid breaching their trust. In addition, I believe in considering interests of other people before my own. This value enables me to avoid a wide range of conflicts. Communication with colleagues It is important to maintain a good relationship with colleagues. This is done by respecting the values of each individual and respecting their decisions. Communication is very important. In cases that I may find difficulties in activities within my work or areas of competency, I would always approach colleagues who are good at it and request for advice or help. While working with my colleagues, I would also ensure that I enhance the integrity of the ACS society by taking any appropriate action against colleagues who may be engaging in behaviors that are contrary to codes of ICT professionalism. Diversity in the workplace The workplace is very diverse with individuals with differing cultures. It is important for an individual to understand that not everyone in the workplace may have been brought up in the same cultures that they grew in. Understanding this would enable me create good work relationships with colleagues from diverse cultures. It would also ensure that cultural conflicts do not arise in the course of work. Week 12- Successful Completion Part A- Justification The course involved me in comparing a wide range of skills thereby enabling me to learn and practice the important interpersonal communication and listening skills. ICT professionals always work in teamwork. The course engaged me in a research that enlightened me on how to enhance teamwork and solve conflicts that arise form team members. By pointing out the errors that most people make in communication, the course taught me how to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Through a wide range of practice, the course enabled me learn how to Create and deliver effective oral presentations. The course outlined a wide scope where ICT is applied. I also realized that ICT is used in every sphere of life today. Since ICT is the centre of everything, the course taught me the importance of ethics, codes of behaviour, and societal, privacy and legal issues within the ICT industry. By indicating how the workplace is made of individuals from diverse cultures, the course taught me the common work practices and values operating in the Australian workforce. The course engaged me in critical thinking so that I can make connections between ideas and come up with ways to improve organizational processes. The course engaged me in research that enabled me be able to evaluate the application of emerging technologies to communication. Part B- Feedback Why I like the Course First, I like the course because it is structured in such a manner that one has to think outside theory in books. I liked this because it prepared me on how to think while in the workplace. Most of the time I will be involved on thinking but not going back to books to make decisions. I also liked the course because of teaching me the code of ethics for ICT professionals as laid out by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). As an ICT professional, these are some of the things that I would be ensured to be in tandem with while carrying out my professional duties. Course Improvements The course should have a section where it mentions on the issues arising in the ICT profession. This can help an individual to be prepared on what has been in the field and the changes they expect to face once they join the workforce. Apart from futures arising, the course should be improved by including a section where individuals carry out research on future expectations in the ICT profession. Arnold Schoenberg and Igor Stravinsky were two of the most noteworthy composers during the twentieth century, both with different but equally notable roles to the progress of the music industry. Arnold Schoenberg, an Austrian but later became an American composer, was born on 13th September 1874 in the Leopoldstadt district, Vienna in a lower middle class Jewish family. Walter notes â€Å"Schoenberg was linked to the expressionist movement in German poetry and art and he was also a leader of the Second Viennese School.† [2] Schoenberg’s major milestone in the musical scene of the 20th century was his approach in terms of harmony and d evelopment. His approach and thoughts on music have been consciously extended by at least three generations both in the American and European traditions. In some instances, it has also been passionately reacted against such as during the rise of the Nazi party in Austria when his music was labeled as degenerate art. Schoenberg’s name was used as a personification of what turned out to be most polemical aspect of the 20th century art music, advancement in atonality. During the 1920’s, Schoenberg came up with the twelve-tone technique. This is a method of manipulating an ordered series of the twelve notes that are found in the chromatic scale which is has proved to be significant to a great extent. Introduction It has come to the attention of the president of LJB Company that an evaluation is needed to determine the reliability and level of compliance of the company’s internal controls. It is imperative if the company is going public that it follow the regulations set forth by governing bodies. The punishment for violation of these regulations can be up to 20 years in prison. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 helps to ensure that shareholder investments and the general public are protected from fraudulent practices within accounting. According to SOX there are five components: 1) Assessment of Internal Control- An internal control report must be included in the company’s annual report. 2) No Altering of Financial Documents- If anyone falsifies or alters financial documents they are subject to criminal penalties that includes up to 20 year in prison. 3) Must Disclose Periodic Reports- Financial statements are required to be accurate as any items off-balance could be used in a fraudulent manner. 4) Data in a timely manner- Financial data must be presented within a reasonable timely manner. The information must be written in a way that any investor could make an educated decision about investing. 5) Types of disclosure controls- Each company or organization must have policies and procedures set forth that explains guidelines that will ensure proper finan cial disclosure. Internal Controls-Strengths The LJB Company does show some strengths in their internal controls including: 1) Using pre-numbered invoices- This allows for the company to account for all purchases and aide in making sure all purchases are recorded properly. This also enables the company to track any fraudulent cash disbursement in the event that invoices are missing. 2) Retaining employees- It reduces turnover time and the conflicts associated with being under staffed. LJB appears to have long standing commitments with their employees which is great for staff morale. 3) The suggestion of the use of an indelible ink machine for printing checks is a great idea as the ink cannot be erased or altered in any way. This aides in keeping fraudulent activities to a minimum and is a great way to incorporate more checks and balances to ensure compliance. Internal Controls- Opportunities for Improvement There are a few opportunities for improvement that a plan of correction should be put into place quickly to correct. 1) Segregation of Duties: The Treasurer and Controller should have separate duties. There should be at least one more employee to work alongside the account who has specific supervision over the accounts receivables and accounts payable functions. 2) Physical controls- It is required that companies keep physical controls such as documentation related to assets. From a risk management perspective it would be beneficial for the company to immediately place the printed payroll checks in the safe instead of them being left in someone’s office. IT should also set up specific employee log-in and passwords in order to be able to track what is being viewed by each employee and IT guidelines should be given to staff to ensure clarity of what is required of them. It is also recommended that there is a procedure for properly handling petty cash. Employees should not be able to just leave notes but have to request and justify the need for petty cash. A proper tracking mechanism should be put into place- a recommendation would be to use employee numbers to log the expense. 3) Human Resource controls- It is recommended that a thorough background check be completed on all eligible applicants. This will provide and verify information regarding the applicant, as well as confirm/deny any criminal activities. This should be implemented as soon as possible as this is a great way to aide in protecting the company’s assets. In conclusion,  if these recommendations are adhered to and all issues addressed appropriately it is very likely that the LJB Company will be less prone to fraud and reduce errors and mistakes. Our social identity is whom we are, whom we see other people are and respectively how other people see themselves and others. To sociologist the concept of identity is paramount, a person’s identity can take many facets that are ever changing, and with these changes there can be many contradictions. Many sociologists believe that identities are not simply formed because of the social groups we belong too. Some theorists believe our identities to be fractured and fragmented. Our identities can be and often are extremely stereotypical, one such stereotype is that of gender. â€Å"Gender is a term that has psychological and cultural connotations; if the proper terms for sex are ‘male’ and ‘female’, the corresponding terms for gender are ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’; these latter might be entirely independent of (biological) sex. (Stoller, 1968, p.9) To elaborate, it is not necessarily right to say that being female means they will be feminine and aversely being male does not make them masculine, girls are not necessarily compassionate or caring; boys are not necessarily competitive and aggressive. There are many differences between men and women; many contrasting approaches have been developed for the understanding of gender identity and the social roles based on such diverse identities. A difference between sex and gender must be understood. To clarify the difference between males and female sociologists use sex to show anatomical and physiological differentiation, by contrast gender concerns the social, cultural and psychological differences between men and women. Gender is socially constructed; a man is seen as masculine and women seen as feminine; these assumptions are not a direct link to a person’s reproductive biology. Many theorists argue that many aspects of human biology ranging from hormones and chromosomes and even genetics; the size of the brain is in some way responsible for the innate differences in the behaviour of males and females in the development of identity. If the definition of gender identity is to be either male or female, include inherited sex chromosomes at conception and the release of hormones during the foetal process can be used to determine the factors of gender identity. This is clearly simplistic and can be flawed. Genetics does not answer the question of how a person’s gender identity can change over time. â€Å"Two of the leading theories to explain the formation of gender identities are concerned with the emotional dynamics between children and their caretakers, according to such views gender differences are formulated ‘unconsciously’ during the early years of life, rather than resulting from a biological disposition.†(Haralambos p.110) Freud’s(1905) theory perhaps the most influential yet controversial suggests that gender is learnt and is the result of the absence or present of a penis; Freud is cautious when suggesting this and insists this is not just an anatomical distinction that matters; the penis is symbolic and divers to the persons gender. Masculinity –v- Femininity. Chodorows (1978, 1988) concepts of gender development adopted the strategy of Freud although argued that learning to be female or male derives from childhood and the development of attachment to the parents at an early age. It does not recognize the emphasis on the penis as the mother is the principal attachment in he early years this must be broken for the child to achieve a sense of a separate self. Chodorows has suggested that this breaking process is different for both boys and girls, girls remain closer to their mother and able to show emotion, love, hugging and kissing and imitating her mothers actions. Because there is no definite break the girl and later in life, women, develops a sense of self that continues with other people, and her identity is more dependent on others. Boys, on the other hand, have to develop their sense of self by a more drastic and radicle break, he must reject his mother in order to gain a sense of masculinity. As a result of this break, boys are less skilled in relating closely to others, this produce the man to have a more analytic view of the world and repress their own feelings and those of the world. Gender inequality and the patriarchy system stand hand in hand, Walby (1990) said â€Å"patriarchy is indispensable for analysis of gender inequality â€Å"(Haralambos. P112) In defining patriarchy, we can understand the treatment of women throughout ages and how it has moulded their success and future in life. Patriarchy not only explains how our society functions in the world as a whole and our modern western society but how it controls women. Patriarchy is a control by men. The opposite of patriarchy is matriarchy this means women are dominant and the head of families. Obviously, the culture of Great Britain and most other countries is patriarchal. Men are dominant and have the power and control the women. Consider the basics of how our society functions ! Most women in western society have to fight for their rights and sometimes can be seen to struggle just to survive without the domination of men threatening them. Whether an individual woman wants to overcome patriarchy will come from her strong inherent desire to be independent. Pollert (1996) commented that those sociologist who have rejected the concept of patriarchy have turned to postmodernism. Pollet does not agree with postmodernism. It has, in recent years become an influential approach to gender identity and sex. Barret and Phillips (1992) suggest that because of dissatisfaction of general characteristics of traditional male dominated social science new feminisms have developed; i.e. Women have developed a range of new female identities. Feminists have always been doubtful of theories developed by men, although in the past socialist and liberal feminists have embraced aspects of male theories. The certainties of the Marxist, liberal and radical feminists developed in earlier decades are no longer uncritically accepted. Harriot Bradley (1997) disagrees that neither postmodern or modern conceptions of identity are sufficient on their own. She comments â€Å"A key objective is to pull together classical or modernist approaches to understanding inequalities with he newer perspectives inspired by postmodernism and poststructuralism†. (Haralambos, p702). Bradley believes that in contemporary western society stratification systems and identities are becoming fragmented and polarised. Stuart Hall (1992) theorised on three stages of identity, one of these stages was that of Enlightenment. The enlightenment theory recognises that each person’s identity is unique and that a person’s identity could not be broken down or made into something bigger. Halls ideology can be linked with that of Descartes (1596-1650). He believed that humans were divided into two parts; mind and body or a dualistic conception, everyone has a separate mind. Descartes said â€Å"Cogito ergu sum† I think therefore I am. This meant that a person was free to be as he felt without the boundaries of society or tradition. Both postmodernists and feminists question Enlightenment thinking as they do not believe that male rationality is inadequate for understanding the western social world. Ann Oakley (2002) has developed a global perspective on the impact of global gender inequalities. She suggests that patriarchy has an impact on the social world as a whole and not just in gender inequality, she draws her ideas from several types of feminism, she is decidedly dismissive of postmodernism. She believes that postmodernism wraps intellectuals in cotton wool and isolates them from critical social debates. Oakley denies that men are biologically born aggressive, and many men opposed to violence. She does not believe that one gender should be dominant but does suggest that the system of patriarchy should change within western society. Oakley has a structural view of society, and that believes that both men and women collude to maintain the gender/sex system, however the position of men and women in the system is not equal; men do have more power than women. Oakley agrees that significant steps have been taken in regards to womens rights and that some forms of gender inequali ty are in decline in, western society, women are not restricted in education, property ownership or whom they can marry. Gender socialisation assists in the understanding of studies of gender roles and how agencies such as family and the media play an inherent role in such socialization. This approach suggests a distinction between biological sex and social gender; a child is born with the first and develops the second by contact and interaction of social agencies. Children will internalise gradually to the expectations and social norms dependent on its biological sex. Gender inequality is the result of males and females being socialized into certain roles. Campbell (1993) suggested a link in the changing role of men in western society. In the past, a young man was expected to be the bread winner, have a clear set of goals for life such as a legitimate job, a wife and a family. The role of bread winner is now under stress particularly for men in more under privileged areas, in these areas only long term unemployment is an option and the means to support a family are less likely. Women have become more independent and do not require the support of a man to reach a status in a wider society in the social western world. In 1997, it was requested that the diagnosis of gender identity disorder was removed from the DSM IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health) because it â€Å"implicitly labels homosexual boys as mentally disordered† (Isay.1997) Isays opinion was that the constructs of sexual orientation and gender identity are isomorphic. Many people with gender identity disorder became socially isolated, whether by choice or by ostracization, thus bringing on low self-esteem, depression and suicide. Peer ostracism and teasing are remarkably common for boys with the disorder in the education system. The requirements for Gender Identity Disorder (GID) to be diagnosed are exceedingly complex; the person must repeatedly state the insistence of wishing to be the opposite sex; refusal to wear stereotypical clothing; constant fantasies about being the opposite sex; the list is endless and no way exhaustible. The diagnosis of GID can take a minimum of two years. The generation in which we live today accepts boys whom openly dress up in clothes normally associated with girls. In an interview by fox news (2011) Dr Keith Ablow cautioned parents on allowing their children to watch transgender Chaz Bono on ‘Dancing with the stars’ for fear that their children would be influenced to swap gender. If the word of such people was adhered to the subject of gender identity would make it a flimsy susceptible construct, the choice between a rare steak and a fairy cake. This shows that, in some cases gender identity is not understood or accepted in western society by all. In conclusion, the gender identity of a person is a direct result of gender role socialisation, unlike a person’s sex which is biological. Pasaporte Para Viajar a EEUU en Casos Doble Ciudadanà ­a Frecuentemente, las personas con doble ciudadanà ­a se preguntan si pueden ingresar sin visa a Estados Unidos por turismo o negocios utilizando el pasaporte que es de un paà ­s incluido en el listado del Programa de Exencià ³n de Visas, aunque no residen habitualmente en dicho paà ­s. La respuesta es sà ­, aunque deben conocerse las excepciones y cundo pueden surgir los problemas.   Ventajas e inconvenientes de viajar sin visa a Estados Unidos Los ciudadanos de 38 paà ­ses, entre los que se encuentran Chile y Espaà ±a, pueden ingresar a los Estados Unidos sin visa. Si llegan por avià ³n de là ­nea regular o barco deben antes de volar una autorizacià ³n que se conoce como ESTA. Una ventaja evidente de viajar sin visa es que la ESTA es mucho ms econà ³mica. En el momento de escribir este articulo el costo de la ESTA es de $14 frente a $160 de la visa B1/B2, cuyo precio final puede ser incluso superior para algunos paà ­ses, en aplicacià ³n de acuerdos de reciprocidad. Otra ventaja econà ³mica es que en caso de negacià ³n, se recuperan $10 en el caso de la ESTA, por lo cual el coste total es de $4. Por el contrario, si no es aprobada la solicitud de la visa de turista o negocios o la combinada de ambas, el solicitante no recupera nada. En otras palabras, pierde los $160 dà ³lares. Otro de los atractivos de viajar sin visa es que se evita tener que acudir a la entrevista en persona al consulado o Embajada, lo cual ahorra sin duda tiempo y en muchos casos tambià ©n nervios. En cuanto al tiempo, en la actualidad este problema es incluso mayor porque son numerosos los consulados en los que se necesita acudir con anterioridad a la entrevista a un Centro de Apoyo al Solicitante por el asunto de los datos biomà ©tricos, es decir, huellas digitales y fotografà ­a. Pero cuando se compara viajar con visa o sin visa, tambià ©n hay inconvenientes para este à ºltimo caso. Como regla general, si se ingresa a Estados Unidos con visa de turista se recibe una autorizacià ³n de 180 dà ­as, es decir, 6 meses. Ese plazo es el ms comà ºn, aunque puede ser inferior si asà ­ lo decide un oficial de migracià ³n. El plazo autorizado est reflejado en el documento que se conoce como I-94. Por el contrario, si se viaja con visa el tiempo mximo de estancia en Estados Unidos es de 90 dà ­as, ni uno ms. Otra gran diferencia es que si se ingresa con visa es posible solicitar una extensià ³n de la estancia y tambià ©n un cambio de visa, por ejemplo, de turista a estudiante. Sin embargo, si se ingresa a Estados Unidos sin visa no es posible alargar el  plazo de 90 de ninguna de las maneras. En otras palabras, la ley no contempla la peticià ³n de extensià ³n o de cambio a otra visa no inmigrante. Es imposible. Por lo tanto hay que salir del paà ­s antes de cumplir los 90 dà ­as de presencia.  Adems, es recomendable evitar juegos como salir a Mà ©xico, Bahamas o Canad y regresar con la idea de obtener asà ­ otros 90 dà ­as. Lo cierto es que en estos casos se regresa no con un nuevo plazo, sino con los dà ­as que quedasen del anterior. Incluso hay que tener en cuenta que se est jugando con fuego en los casos de salida al paà ­s de origen o cuando se viaja a paà ­ses adyacentes como Mà ©xico y Canad y se fuerza al là ­mite el plazo de los 90 dà ­as antes de salir de tal manera que ya no hay dà ­as restantes en el primer plazo cuando se regresa y se quiere obtener un nuevo trimestre. Puede suceder que el oficial de migracià ³n considere que se est viviendo en Estados Unidos, sospeche que se est trabajando o estudiando sin visa, etc. lo cual llevarà ­a a que se prohà ­ba el ingreso al paà ­s e incluso acabar con el castigo de una expulsià ³n inmediata.  ¿Viajar con un pasaporte o con los dos? Esta es una pregunta muy comà ºn entre las personas con doble ciudadanà ­a que deciden ingresar a Estados Unidos sin visa. La respuesta no es à ºnica y se ilustra mejor con casos especificos. Por ejemplo, en el caso de un argentino que vive en Argentina pero que tiene tambià ©n pasaporte italiano deberà ­a viajar con sus dos pasaportes. Asà ­, saldrà ­a de Argentina con el de ese paà ­s pero mostrarà ­a ya allà ­ el italiano para que le permitan embarcar. Al ingresar y tambià ©n al salir de Estados Unidos. Al llegar a Argentina, mostrarà ­a ese pasaporte para entrar a su paà ­s. Otro ejemplo distinto es el de, por ejemplo, un argentino que reside habitualmente en Italia y tiene tambià ©n pasaporte de ese paà ­s. En este caso, utilizarà ­a solamente el pasaporte italiano. Quà © problemas pueden surgir al llegar al control migratorio de los Estados Unidos En principio, los problemas potenciales son los mismos si se viajan con visa o sin visa. Ninguna de las dos situaciones garantiza el ingreso. Lo que importa es que la persona que quiere ingresar como turista tiene que ser considerada como elegible y admisible para ingresar a Estados Unidos. Si se considera que reà ºne tal cualidad, no hay problema. De hecho, son miles las personas con doble ciudadanà ­a que deciden viajar sin visa y nunca han tenido problemas. En otras palabras, el problema no es la visa o la no visa, sino si se cumplen los requisitos para ingresar o no. En este punto decir que hay noticias que apuntan a que se les ha negado el ingreso en repetidas ocasiones a dominicanos que viajan a Estados Unidos recià ©n adquieren la ciudadanà ­a de un paà ­s incluido en el listado de los Paà ­ses con Exencià ³n de Visado (VWP, por sus siglas en inglà ©s). No es que no puedan viajar, es que por la razà ³n que sea puede haber levantado sospechas de que su intencià ³n es quedarse en los Estados Unidos. Si se tiene duda, la opcià ³n es olvidarse de viajar sin visa y solicitar una B1/B2.   Finalmente decir en relacià ³n a este punto de los posibles problemas que pueden encontrar  los cubanos para embarcar sin visa en un vuelo hacia Estados Unidos. Lo cierto es que miles de cubanos embarcan e ingresan sin ningà ºn problema. Pero no es menos cierto que se les puede impedir incluso embarcar si se sospecha que su intencià ³n es quedarse en Estados Unidos y pedir que se les aplique la Ley de Ajuste Cubano una vez que estn allà ­. Excepciones a viajar sin visa en los casos de doble ciudadanà ­a En determinadas ocasiones no es posible que las personas con doble ciudadanà ­a decidan que prefieren viajar sin visa y deben solicitar la visa si es que quieren viajar como turistas a los Estados Unidos. Entre otras situaciones destacan las siguientes: Cuando previamente le han negado una visa, aunque la solicitaran con otro pasaporte. La visa se le negà ³ a la persona, no al pasaporte y las autoridades migratorias saben que se trata de la misma persona al cotejar las huellas digitales que se dieron al solicitar la visa con las que se toman en el punto de ingreso a Estados Unidos (puerto, aeropuerto o paso terrestre fronterizo). Otra situacià ³n que pide por solicitar la visa es cuando previamente una persona ha tenido una visa americana y à ©sta ha sido cancelada. Otro caso es cuando se ha visitado anteriormente Estados Unidos y el visitante se ha quedado ms tiempo del autorizado.   Finalmente, todos los casos en los que ha habido en el pasado situaciones problemticas, como violaciones migratorias, deportaciones, expulsiones inmediatas, etc. Otras situaciones de doble ciudadanà ­a o nacionalidad Estados Unidos, por regla general, no tiene ningà ºn problema con la doble ciudadanà ­a, tambià ©n conocida como doble nacionalidad. Esto es asà ­ en el caso de extranjeros que pueden utilizar el pasaporte que deseen, como se ha explicado en este artà ­culo, pero tambià ©n en otros como para aplicar por visas limitadas a ciertos paà ­ses como es el caso de la visa de inversià ³n E-2. Asà ­,por ejemplo, un venezolano no puede beneficiarse de esa visa pero si cuenta con otro pasaporte como puede ser el de Colombia, Espaà ±a, Portugal, etc, puede solicitarla. Pero tambià ©n es el caso de sus propios ciudadanos. Estados Unidos admite la doble nacionalidad y casi no impone là ­mites a esta situacià ³n. De interà ©s para turistas en Estados Unidos La mejor forma de evitar problemas migratorios, tanto si se ingresa con visa o con ESTA, es cumplir con la ley, por lo que se recomienda tomar este test para conocer aspectos fundamentales. El caso especial de Canad Como regla general, los ciudadanos de Canad no necesitan ni visa ni ESTA para ingresar a Estados Unidos como turistas y el permiso de estancia es por 6 meses.   Esto aplica a los canadienses que tambià ©n son ciudadanos de otro paà ­s, es decir, a los casos de doble ciudadanà ­a.
